About Quotery β€” AI-Powered Quoting & Inventory Platform

Quotery is an AI-powered quoting and inventory platform built by DHDTech for distributors, contractors, and service shops.

Our mission

Quotery replaces the spreadsheet-plus-email workflow that still dominates small and mid-sized distribution. We built it because we saw the same pattern everywhere: a supplier PDF arrives by email, someone types it into a quote template in Excel, then pastes that into an email to the customer. That loop breaks at scale β€” wrong prices, stock surprises, lost threads. Quotery cuts the loop to one step: upload the supplier document and review the draft quote. The downstream inventory and fulfillment flows follow automatically.

Who we are

Quotery is built by DHDTech, a small engineering team led by Diogo Hudson. We're a product company, not an agency β€” the platform is our only focus. Every team member uses Quotery daily to understand what needs to improve. We ship continuously and talk to customers directly. No sales hand-off, no implementation consultants, no ticket queues.

Our story

Quotery started with a simple observation: distributors waste hours retyping supplier PDFs into quote systems. A typical mid-sized distributor processes dozens of supplier price sheets each week β€” each one a multi-page PDF that has to be manually transcribed into whatever quoting tool they use. This process is tedious, error-prone, and scales poorly. One typo in a part number means the wrong item gets quoted. One missed row means a customer gets a partial quote and has to call back for the rest.

The insight was that AI could handle this parsing automatically. Modern language models can read document structure, extract line items with their quantities and prices, and present the result in a clean, editable format β€” all in seconds. What used to take an hour of manual data entry becomes a thirty-second review. We built the first prototype in early 2024, testing it against real supplier documents from actual distributor workflows. The results were good enough to validate the idea, and we committed to turning the prototype into a full platform.

The vision goes well beyond document parsing. Quotery is designed to be the complete operating system for a distributor's quoting workflow. From the initial supplier upload, the system generates a draft quote, checks inventory availability, calculates margins, handles multi-currency pricing, and tracks the quote through approval, delivery, and fulfillment. Team members can collaborate on quotes in real time, attach supporting documents, and maintain a full audit trail from the original supplier document to the final invoice.

What we believe

  • Speed matters. A quote sent in minutes wins over one sent tomorrow. We believe that faster response times directly translate to higher close rates. Our AI parsing eliminates the bottleneck that slows every quote down: manual data entry. By reducing quote generation from hours to seconds, we give distributors a genuine competitive advantage.
  • Accuracy is non-negotiable. Every line item should be traceable to the original supplier document. We do not accept guesswork in quoting. Each price, quantity, and part number extracted by the AI is linked back to its source β€” so users can verify, correct, and trust every figure. Audit trails are built in, not bolted on.
  • Software should work in your language. Quotery ships trilingual by default β€” English, Portuguese, and Spanish β€” with no add-ons and no extra cost. We built the platform for distributors who operate across borders. Language should never be a barrier to running your business efficiently. Every interface element, every email notification, and every PDF document is fully localized.
  • Transparency builds trust. Our architecture decisions and roadmap are published on the blog. We share what we are building, why we are building it, and how it works under the hood. This is not just good communication β€” it is how we hold ourselves accountable to the users who depend on Quotery every day.

Who we are

Quotery was founded by Diogo Hudson, a software engineer with over a decade of experience building enterprise systems for distribution, logistics, and supply chain companies. Before founding Quotery, Diogo architected platforms that managed thousands of SKUs, complex tiered pricing structures, and real-time inventory across multiple warehouse locations. He saw firsthand how the tools available to small and mid-sized distributors lagged a decade behind what enterprise operations took for granted.

That gap is what drove him to build Quotery. The large distributors have SAP, Oracle, and dedicated IT teams. Everyone else has spreadsheets and email. Diogo set out to build a modern, AI-native platform that delivers enterprise-grade quoting capabilities to any distributor β€” without the enterprise price tag or the implementation overhead. Quotery reflects his conviction that the best tools are the ones that handle complexity on the backend while remaining simple on the frontend.
